Live Online Simulcast – this auction is conducted with a live audience as well as a live online audience participating via a computer simulcast platform called Proxibid. Live bids are taken from both locations to create the competitive playing field. UPDATE: Until further notice, Sierra will be hosting auctions from the Proxibid’s simulcast platform ONLY. There is no live audience onsite.

Vehicle Descriptions

  • BOX A – Actual Mileage.
  • BOX B – Mileage exceeds the mechanical limits of the odometer.
  • BOX C – True Mileage Unknown.

Brand:

None – Vehicle has not been branded by the state of Arizona with any designation detrimental to value or condition of the vehicle. Beware that even though Arizona issues an unbranded title, there still may be other title issues in other states in which the state of Arizona was unaware. Please be sure to research the entire history of vehicle prior to making a buying decision.

Salvage - A Salvage Certificate of Title is issued to a vehicle that was stolen, wrecked, destroyed, water damaged or otherwise damaged to the extent that the owner, leasing company, financial institution or insurance company considers it to be uneconomical to repair.

Restored Salvage - A Restored Salvage Certificate of Title is issued to a vehicle that has been rebuilt or restored to operation.

Reserves or Minimums

Sierra reserves the right to sell vehicles in which the seller has chosen a minimum bid to be met before it can be sold during the live auction event. In most cases, this designation will read “Pending Seller Confirmation” in the description, but there will be situations where this designation is not present. Late changes to descriptions can happen and the auctioneer will do its best to keep buyers updated on last minute changes.

Reserve Not Met, Sold "on a call" or Sold on an "if" - This means that the item has a minimum bid that must be met before the item can be sold. If the item does not meet the reserve amount requirement it may also be offered “on a call” or on an “IF” or which means the auctioneer will contact the seller to find out if they will accept the lower bid. A buyer is not obligated to buy the vehicle in this situation, even if the seller accepts the lower bid.

ALL Vehicles Are Sold AS IS WHERE IS. There are no warranties or guarantees of any kind, implied or otherwise. Sierra holds a Public Consignment Auction Dealer License in the state of Arizona and is exempt from offering any warranties and does not guarantee the vehicles will pass AZ emissions testing.

It is the responsibility of the bidder to understand the manner in which vehicles are being sold. Bidders solely choose what information they rely upon to make buying decisions. Sierra is not responsible for decisions made by a bidder which could have been prevented with proper research, made available by Sierra and other resources.

Surplus Assets

Reserves or Minimums

It’s very rare that surplus assets have a minimum bid, but it can happen. Since all surplus assets are sold in a timed auction setting, the system will let the bidder know when the bid reaches the minimum acceptable bid, as the asset will go from “Reserve Not Met” to “Reserve Met”. At this point the asset will be sold to the highest bidder. In the event the reserve is not met, the high bidder can still negotiated by contacting Sierra to find out if the seller is willing to meet their high bid or some other bid that is mutually acceptable. Sierra will assist in bringing together both parties to settle on a deal.

Condition of Assets

Sierra sells many assets that require it to have functionality to have value. We do not guarantee the working order of any or all assets, so we ask that interested bidders inspect the assets prior to placing bids or risk that the asset may not work as intended. When Sierra knows the condition, especially when it comes to electronics and cell phones, we will state so in the description. ASSUME NOTHING WORKS PERFECTLY OR AT ALL unless you were able to inspect it yourself.

Locked Phones, iPads, PDAs

Sierra does not guarantee that phones, iPads, PDAs, and other lockable devices can be unlocked after being sold at auction. These assets do have value regardless of its intended function, so Sierra explicitly does not warrant them for being locked.

Firearms and Accessories

Condition

Firearms sold through Sierra will get a condition rating of Poor, Fair, Average, Good, and Parts Only. This is an unofficial opinion of the condition of the firearm from our team and doesn’t necessarily reflect nationally accepted standards in the firearms industry. In general, Sierra is ultra conservative on its condition evaluation – just 10% of the firearms listed fall into the "Good" category, while over 70% are considered either "Fair" or "Average".

Licensing

Sierra Auction Management is a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder with an NFA tax stamp, allowing the lawful transfer of all classes of firearms and accessories to the public and other FFL and NFA license holders. We STRICTLY follow all ATF rules and regulations.

Credit Deposit

As of June 1, 2020 The auto auction deposit is $250 per vehicle, with a maximum of $500 per auction event, and will be charged to the credit card you have on file with Proxibid after each winning bid you place. If we are unable to collect a deposit from that card, your ability to buy will be suspended until you update your Proxibid credit card information. Please keep in mind YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY and ALL successful bids you placed prior to the temporary suspension of your account.

Currently, no deposits are taken for our regularly scheduled surplus and firearms auctions. We reserve the right to adjust this policy without prior notification to buyers. Sierra outlines any and all deposit information within each auction listing, so for the deposit rules in each auction, please be sure to read the terms and conditions for each.

If a deposit is collected via this process, it will be applied as a payment credit to your invoice upon payment of the remaining balance. If the balance is not paid in full, any payments and deposits applied to the invoice will convert to a renege fee based upon our terms and conditions at that time.

Per the Terms and Conditions of the Bidder Contract you authorize Sierra Auction (Auctioneer) to retain your deposit in the event you fail to pay for the items you purchased. If you do not pay for all the items for which you were the successful bidder by the 5th calendar day following the auction, Auctioneer will charge your credit card for the entire deposit amount - $500 or up to 14% of invoice total, whichever is greater. Auctioneer retains all it rights to charge late and storage fees and bidder will be liable for all costs and losses suffered due to Bidder breach. Auctioneer retains the right to sue Bidder for specific performance for Bidders breach of contract.

By placing a credit card authorization deposit, you acknowledge and agree to these revised terms and conditions to the Bidder Contract. If you have any questions please see a Sierra Management representation.
